Late Wednesday morning, my sister and I took the mrt to Dadaocheng to meet up with our dad. Dadaocheng is a historic section of Taipei and we headed there to eat and do a little bit of sightseeing.
For lunch, we had Donburi (Japanese rice bowl dish) and sushi. I forgot to take photos of this particular meal but talking about food without showing pictures is too cruel, so here are some photos of our (my sister and I) lunch from Tuesday. And yes, we had Japanese food for lunch two days in a row.
Thanks to the hot Taipei summer, we were craving something cold so we went with almond tofu shaved iced. And it was sooo good!
This photo does not do this delicious dish justice. 😛
Even the decor is super cute, wouldn’t you agree?
Afterwards came the real “sightseeing.” I’ll be honest, I don’t know that much about the history of the city I’ve lived in for more than a decade, so just a few photos sans history lessons.
