I’ve always loved the smell of coffee but I never really cared for its taste till quite recently. The past few months to be exact. It all started with me being very sleep deprived come exam time and in desperate of an energy boost in the form of caffeine. At first, I forced the bitter black liquid known as coffee for the sake of the caffeine, but over time I’ve come to find the taste to be at least tolerable. Along the way I also discovered how AMAZING lattes taste! The milk really makes a huge difference to my tastebuds.
Moving on to the next random topic, I’m going to Korea tomorrow!!! Jeju Island to be exact. I’m so excited and I’ll do my best to record the trip with as much detail as I can. Speaking of Korea, I’ll be taking Korean lessons real soon and I really can’t wait. Self-studying is great and all but I feel like my pronunciation is just dismal and I’m kind of lacking in the self discipline area.
On a completely different note, I pulled my satorious last week, so I’ve had to refrain from lower body and cardio training for nearly a week. REST really is the best cure for injuries, some inuprofen and ice during the first few days doesn’t hurt either. It’s so easy for me to be in denial about an injury and continue to work it until the injury gets even worse. I had to learn this lesson the hard way with a wrist injury that lasted months, at least I have it ingrained in my brain right now.
