Last year, I had the good fortune to travel to Cambodia with my family. Specifically Angkor Wat, a magnificent UNESCO world heritage site..
We took a direct flight to Siem Reap International Airport rather than to the capital Phnom Penh. I absolutely recommend doing this because of Siem Reap’s close proximity to Angkor temples. If we were to arrive at Phnom Penh, we would have to take an additional 6 hour bus ride, and let’s just say that the buses there aren’t quite up to the standards you’re used to.

It looks like a nice place to stay. I love going to places where a movie was filmed. It’s always a surreal feeling knowing you’ve seen this exact location in a film.
Shawn Tang says
Actually, I didn’t see the film until I got back, but recognizing the location in the movie was still a super cool feeling.

Stopping over from Travel Tuesday 🙂
Wow! What a trip. I love the last photo and recognized it from the movie. I will for sure have to get there someday. It’s on my bucket list.

Wow looks like it was such an incredible place and what a great holiday to have been on!! I think it was totally worth gaining some weight to enjoy all that amazing food and to just relax and let yourself enjoy the time away. 🙂
Shawn Tang says
Yup, good food is certainly worth gaining a bit weight. Besides, there’s nothing a few (okay maybe a bit more than a few) good workouts can’t fix. 🙂

You are so lucky to have travelled to such amazing places!!! I can’t pretend I’m not jealous 😉
Shawn Tang says
Yes, I guess I am. 🙂 Just don’t let the jealousy eat your heart out. 😛

Ohh that looks amazing- What a great sounding trip! I can’t wait for other recaps…ironically, the spill it Sunday is going to (most likely) be themed one week for three best trips!
Wow, ok this is freaky but I just got a comment from you AS I was commenting you right now… Vibes.
Shawn Tang says
Totally freaky. 😛 Might have something to do with the fact that are time zones are closer than all those folks in the US and Canada. 🙂
Well I’m a big fan of irony, and I can’t wait for spill it Sunday. I’ve definitely got loads more to write on this trip.
