Since this was a trail run, we had to go up steps for quite a bit of the race. When we got to those parts, I walked up them because I knew there was no way I’d be able to run up them. Just a big fat reminder that I need to do more training. So this race was more of a run-hike-run race for me. Whatever, at least the downhill part was fun.
A pic taken at the top of the course. Now I don’t usually take pics during the race, but there was nothing else to do while we were getting in line for water and bananas, so why not?

Congrats beauty! With all those hills I doubt anyone would have been able to run the whole thing. You should be super proud of yourself 🙂

Thank you so much Davida!!! 😀

That sounds brutal! I’ve never done a trail race, and the one time I ran trails I was DYING.
Shawn Tang says
I was dying the whole time, too. Maybe I should stick to road races from now on. 😛

Awesome work! I often feel like I might be ‘running’ slower than people walking up a hill – it is such a snail pace!! Hope you’re recovering well 🙂
Shawn Tang says
Thanks Corinne! I often feel like I run slower than some people walk too. Oh, well. 😛
