Very sad that my time in London came to an end so quickly. It is a super awesome city and I’m definitely going back in the future.
Before we went to the UK, many warned us that British food wasn’t very good. Granted I didn’t have much “traditional” British food, but pretty much everything I had was really delicious. Here are some foodie highlights.
Pret a Manger quickly became one of my fave places to eat, well buy from since it costs more to eat in. The first time I saw their sign, I thought they sold horse stuff. XD In my defense, there are quite a few horse guards in London.
Besides their delicious yet nutritious food, which includes a wide array of salad and sandwiches, they also have a great store philosophy.

I’m glad you enjoyed my home-city! Pret is a really great place to grab lunch on-the-go, apparently they’re one of the only sandwich chains in the UK to keep restocking throughout the day to guarantee freshness. I recently visited Japan and I’m still missing the food I got out there, I’m always trying to hunt down Japanese food in London!

I had a great time in the uk and also love japanese food. Thank goodness it’s easy to find here in taipei. I tried wagamama in london, pretty good, but not really ‘traditional’ japanese food.

Just from reading food/healthy living bloggers in the UK I would say that their food always looks delicious! And I think your pictures show that too. Baked beans are delicious and I would totally eat them for breakfast if I could! Hello maple and bacon ๐
Shawn says
Yup, so delicious! And I had baked beans for breakfast practically every day. ๐ Really missing them right now. ๐

Glad you had a good time in the UK! M&S is definitely the best for food; their stuff is so good! Yum!
It’s funny that everyone thinks that the British food looks delicious – yet I always think that other cultures food looks better – I think you want what you can’t have haha!

Really, really missing m & s. ๐ And what you said is so true! I get tired of Taiwanese food sometimes, but my friends in the US just love it. Granted, they don’t eat it as often. If I moved elsewhere, I’d probably start missing Taiwanese food real bad. ๐

You had some great eats! When I went to England last summer, I ate at Pret A Manger too! (It means “Ready to Eat” in French ;)). They have some great, healthy choices there!
Shawn says
Thanks. ๐ I had no idea the name was French, let alone the meaning. Good to know, and I’m really craving their food now. ๐

Yay loved reading this and so glad you had a fab time! Marks & spencer (or M&S as us Brits like to call it ๐ ) is my closest & most favourite supermarket and I love a good pret too! Hope you don’t have post-holiday blues!
