Most of the audience were probably older than my parents, they were a band from the 60’s after all, but I still enjoyed it immensely. So much that I just had to buy the souvenir program, (they don’t have playbills here, who knew?) just like I had to get the broadway recording.
So I saw this show on the West End instead of on Broadway, but I still think the title of this post is completely appropriate. Also, I really love the song, especially the smash finale version. Listen to it if you haven’t yet, even though smash has been canceled. 🙁

I think it’s awesome that you get to spend this time with your parents :). I wouldn’t say I was a huge fan of musicals, but I do like them. I went to se Les Mis in the theater and cried like a stinkin baby the entire time!! It was great! And when I read that they actually sang live, that it wasn’t recordings, while filming I was even more enamored by the film. 🙂

So jealous you got to see it live and I love the movie too. Anne Hathaway’s
rendition of ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ is so powerful and it nearly brought me to tears.

I’m a HUGE figure skating fan too and the music to Les Mis has been used for years! Love it!

I love musicals! I don’t think I could pick a favorite. Does Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog count? The only one I’ve been lucky enough to see on stage (well performed by professionals and not students) is Wicked and it was ah-maz-ing! I wanted to stay and see it again the next day.

I saw wicked a few years ago and it really was so amazing. 🙂
