This weekend, the fam headed over to the San Francisco bay for a cable car ride,
the San Francisco bay of the Big City Mall in Hsinchu that is.
We also stopped by Tungxiao to pay our respects to our ancestors. As well as taking a lesson in history,
and learning about the salt making process,
or just trying to eat it.
Popcorners
Yup, you read it right, it’s popcorners, not popcorn.
I might have developed a slight obsession with these delicious chips, which are the perfect companion to a movie. Actually, we watched two movies this weekend. The first one was Never Let Me Go, which tells the tale of boarding school children whose purpose in life is to donate their vital organs so others can live long, illness free lives. Though quite heavy and sad at times, it was also very beautiful and I absolutely loved it.
The other movie we watched, The Heat, was pretty much the opposite. Loud, hilarious, filled with profanity and sometimes down right ridiculous. The two strong female leads, Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy were quite hilarious. I can’t say that I loved it, but it was certainly entertaining.
Fitness Lately
Or fitness gear lately. TRX, kettlebells, medicine balls… and the latest purchase, a barbell. Just a 6kg one with about 30 kg total of weight plates, I forget, but I sure felt sorry for the delivery man who had to bring all the stuff up. I have yet to remove the packaging but will probably do so sometime this week, can’t wait to knock out some deadlifts.
The other day, I did arfit’s 100 burpee challenge and I’m pretty sure I almost died. I’m planning on also doing blogilates’s and fitness blender’s too and then do a comparison post, but I’m not sure I feel like doing 100 burpees in one sitting again. Oh well, just have to wait and see.
Hope everyone’s having a Marvelous Monday!

Burpees are evil! I have only done that once and that was once too many 🙂
Shawn says
So evil, yet so good for you. 😛 Seems like a lot of things in life are like that. Oh, well.

I think I would die if I did 100 burpees too!
Shawn says
Totally felt like dying, yet I have an urge to do it again.

Love to hate burpees right? They’re awesomely crazy. 🙂 Love your pictures!
Shawn says
Thanks! Burpees are just one of those moves that I hate doing but love the results that come with. Okay, so maybe I don’t quite hate them, but they are certainly tiring.
