Marvelous are these peanut butter chocolate chip bars I made following peanut butter runner’s recipe. They are so freakin’ awesome that I had them for breakfast three days in a row. 🙂 I only made a few changes: I used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose flour and used half a cup of sugar instead of one. Still turned out completely great! Everyone loved them and I look forward to making another batch, since the batch I made a few days ago is completely gone.
Marvelous are macarons!!!
My uncle’s family went to France a few weeks ago and had originally bought some treats for us, but due to schedule conflicts we didn’t manage to meet up until this Saturday. What they had originally got for us didn’t have a long shelf life so they had to eat it. So they bought this adorable box of macarons for us instead. I have the best relatives ever.

Mm the peanut butter bars look SO good, am so jealous you got to eat them for breakfast 😉 I love macaroons too, but they are ridiculously expensive in London too… I’m lucky to get them sometimes as a treat though!

Macarons really are so pricey, so I can’t get them very often. However , it could be a good thing, cuz absence makes the heart fonder or something. Having them once in a while just makes every bite so much better, at least that’s how I feel. 🙂

Those cookie bars look great!
I read Mindy’s book and I hadn’t watched The Office much either. It was a very entertaining read. Found I could relate to a lot of what she was saying on one level or another! Great to know celebrities have a lot of the same insecurities and thoughts as us normal people sometimes 🙂

Yeah, sometimes it seems like celebrities live a perfect life devoid of the problems we regular people have. Love Mindy for keeping it real.

They look delicious, but they might not last long in our house! Like you, I often take away 30-50% of the sugar in recipes and also substitute white flour with wholemeal – things usually turn out much better.

Good to know I’m not the only. Still tastes just as good if not better, and is much healthier.
